This calculator computes the mortality risk, the survival probability and the life expectancy of your animal over a given number of years.
Enter your animal's current age, then enter a time span, and finally enter enter the animal species (e.g. cat, dog, horse). The calculator computes the chances on survival and death during the specified period. The statistical data for this calculator comes from various sources, see also the acknowledgment.
Cats living entirely inside live longer than cats that frequently go out outside. To a lesser extend this is also true for dogs. Pure-bred dogs live almost two years shorter than mongrel dogs.
